Gourmet Garden Lemongrass Paste

Lemongrass, one of the popular culinary herbs in the world, is used for both cooking and herbal medicine. You can use lemongrass paste to flavor your salsa, or add it to soups or stews to give them an exotic flavor. Many people also enjoy adding it to a cup of hot tea as a delightful tea drink that adds flavor to their teas without adding too much of extra caffeine.

Another popular gourmet herb is ginger. Ginger serves many purposes. It can be used in the kitchen to flavor dishes or used to draw out flavors from other foods, like sushi. It can be used to spice up your laundry room. For all of these uses, gourmet ginger paste is the perfect accompaniment to your summertime garden. Planting ginger along with lemongrass will create a delightful summer scene.

Thai chicken is popular around the world. In fact, it is the most popular chicken in the world. Because of this, you may grow Thai lemongrass in your garden to add a delightful flavor to your dinner. The tiny white flowers are great for making bouquets and serving to your family and friends. Planting a few buds will provide your home with a delightful aroma of lemongrass while keeping the birds away from your vegetable broth.

Basil has a delightful flavor, but it is also used to flavor dishes like spaghetti and meatballs. To bring out the best flavor, harvest and dry a handful of leaves and grind them into a fine paste. After rubbing the herb onto the meat, simply let the basil linger lightly on the surface until the meat is completely cooked before removing it from the oven.

Cauliflower is another favorite summer treat. While the skin of the cauliflower is delicious, it makes the noodle crumb brittle. To rectify this problem, grind or chop the cauliflower into pieces, cover the pieces with yacon syrup and seal the crumbs in an airtight container. Store the cauliflower in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it. Yacon syrup adds sweet and creamy flavors to the food while keeping the noodle pieces from sticking together. You can add a bit of each ingredient to your casserole recipes for a unique and delicious flavor that will have your guests raving.

Thai chicken noodle soups can be created quickly using lemongrass chicken broth as the base. Combine the broth with the chopped lemongrass leaves along with the scallions, garlic, ginger, and cilantro paste and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes until the chicken is almost tender. Remove the chicken from the broth and set aside to cool. Add the cooled broth to the cooled vegetables and mix to combine.

Crusty rolled oats are a wonderful side dish for this particular dish. In a large nonstick frying pan or skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the uncooked oats and let them coat the bottom of the pan. When flipping them over, use a spatula to flip them over so that they are browned on one side but white in the center. Place onto hotplates and cook for about two minutes or until browned and crisp outside.
